3 Ingredient Snacks for Kids: Avocado Toast Roll-Ups

Avocado on toast is a favorite staple for our whole family. Part of our 3 ingredient snacks series, these Avocado Toast Roll-Ups are a fun variation that makes it easy for the youngest members of our family to join us in the creamy, healthy avocado goodness. Rolling the bread instead of serving avocado on flat toast makes these less messy for toddlers to eat on their own—and makes them the perfect take along for a summer family picnic.

Little kids will love flattening the bread, mashing the avocado, sprinkling their own seasonings or toppings, and forming their toast into logs. And parents will love having a little less to wipe off their kids’ hands and faces, too.

Ingredients

1 slice of One Degree Organics Sprouted Bread
1/2 ripe Avocado
Salt or herb salt (to taste)
Hemp hearts or chia seeds (optional)

Directions

Using a rolling pin, roll out the slice of bread to make it thin and flat.

Mash the avocado onto the bread with a fork, and spread evenly. Sprinkle avocado with salt to taste, and top with hemp hearts or chia (if using).

Roll up the bread into a log shape and slice into bite-sized pieces.
