Easy Chocolate Protein Mug Cake

This easy chocolate mug cake is an irresistible treat that comes together in minutes, and with only a few ingredients, it’s a must-try recipe perfect for any day. This cake makes for the most indulgent breakfast, delicious dessert after-workout treat, or pre-workout boost.

Made with One Degree Sprouted Instant Protein Oatmeal which is filled with 10g of protein per serving thanks to its clean ingredients of mineral-rich faba beans and gluten-free oats.

INGREDIENTS

1 packet of One Degree Organics Sprouted Protein Instant Oatmeal.  (any flavor would work well with this)
3-4 tablespoons of almond milk
1/4 teaspoon cacao powder
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/3 banana
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder (this is totally optional but if you want the extra protein after a lift day you can add)
1 tablespoon of peanut butter powder (this is optional as well but I am all for peanut butter flavored anything so I love adding this!)

DIRECTIONS

In an oven-safe bowl mash one banana. Add protein oatmeal, milk, melted coconut oil, peanut butter, cinnamon, salt, vanilla extract, and cacao powder. Mix all the ingredients well. Option to add additional protein powder. If you are adding in more protein powder then add a little milk to balance it out and create a cake-like batter.

Once all the ingredients are mixed together you can pop the cake in the oven to bake for 6-8 minutes at 350, or if you are using a microwave you can bake for 45-60 seconds. If more time is needed, bake in increments of 10 seconds.

Once baked finish off with a splash of milk and top with either fresh fruit, chocolate chips, coconut flakes, nuts, etc.

Enjoy!
