Sprouted Spelt Banana Bread

This time of year, there are always unexpected guests! This sprouted spelt banana bread is a perfect recipe to whip up at a moment’s notice. It’s simple, healthy, and unlike many banana breads, it has a subtle flavor and a very light texture from our One Degree Organics Sprouted Spelt Flour. Delicious!


1 3/4 cup One Degree Organics Sprouted Spelt Flour
1/2 cup coconut palm sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp double-acting baking powder
1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
1/2 cup almond milk
2 large bananas, mashed (about 1 cup)
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup chopped walnuts


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a loaf pan and set aside.

Whisk together Sprouted Spelt Flour, coconut palm sugar, salt, and baking powder. Set aside

In a separate bowl whisk together coconut oil, mashed bananas, vanilla and almond milk.

Gently stir together the dry and wet mixtures. Fold in the chopped walnuts. Add more almond milk if batter is too dry.

Bake for 30-45 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Baking time varies on your oven and the size of the loaf.

Let cool before removing from pan.
