How can growing certified-organic sugar cane help cultivate a more egalitarian and prosperous community? In the river-filled rural district of Arroyos y Esteros in southern Paraguay, dedicated and innovative work by Cooperativa Manduvirá, a co-op of family farmers, is yielding just such a sweet harvest. “Arroyos y Esteros, meaning “streams and estuaries,” is a region…
A visit to Roy Brewin’s farm on a sunny day feels like stepping into a pocket of sunshine. Here, in what Roy calls the “California of Canada,” rugged wheat is standing tall thanks to a sunlight and mountain water diet. “I think it’s a combination of the irrigation water from the Rocky Mountains being pure…
Beyond Bulgaria’s charming townships and impressive castle fortresses are lands flush with bright flora. There are valleys of soft pink roses and rows of swaying lavender crops, and horizons that alight with gold from sunflowers dancing in the sun. Full of rich nutrients, these flowers make Bulgaria the largest exporter of sunflower seeds in the…
Cinnamon’s journey through the centuries, from the ancient spice of scripture to the scannable ingredient on your cereal box, is a story of trajectories. With a subtle shift in wind direction on the day Dutch schooners ventured into open seas, the great cinnamon plantations of Ceylon and Indonesia might never have been built. Without the…

Very delicious and healthy tasting. Super crunchy and tasted like cinnamon apple pie in some ways. Love that the ingredient list has real ingredients and nothing chemical sounding. Packaging is simple and nice. The granola tasted great with milk and with my yogurt. Excellent product!

I tried the One Degree Organic Foods Sprouted Oat Cinnamon Flat Granola, and it’s honestly one of the best granolas I’ve had. The cinnamon flavor is warm and not overpowering, and the sprouted oats make it feel lighter and easier to digest. I love that it’s made with simple, organic ingredients — no weird additives.
It’s super crunchy and tastes amazing with yogurt or just as a quick snack straight from the bag. I also like that it’s not overly sweet, which makes it perfect for breakfast or topping smoothie bowls.
Overall, it feels wholesome and clean, but still really tasty — definitely a staple in my pantry now.

I really enjoyed the flavor and texture of this granola. It has a pleasantly sweet flavor with hints of cinnamon and vanilla. I liked that the granola does not have large chunks and that it is not too hard. The size and texture of the granola make it perfect for adding to yogurt to make a simple yogurt parfait, and the granola stays crunchy even when in contact with yogurt and jam. I also like that the granola is made from simple and organic ingredients by a small business.
