These days, finding organic farmers can be challenging, however when we do, we love the opportunity to go out and meet them and share their story with you. On our recent trip to Alberta, we visited the freshly harvested crop fields of David Friesen. For us, meeting farmers is not just about business. Every handshake, shared story, and walk through the fields strengthens our commitment to transparency and trust.
We had the honor of being guided through this beautiful family- farm by David himself, who manages the land with the help of his eight children. They transitioned to organic farming nine years ago after David observed significant improvements in the soil, resulting in healthier crops and better-tasting grains. Stan commended David for his efforts emphasizing that our health is dependent on the health of the soil. The more we care for the earth, the better it is for us.
While there is always room for improvement in farming, it is dedicated farmers like David who are working with nature to grow quality ingredients. David has been planting the seeds of sustainability and spreading knowledge about organic practices within his robust community.
